Cue

Privacy Policy

Effective 16 October 2026

Cue is a desktop app and website that transcribes your calls and suggests answers in real time. It is operated by CueApp Labs, a sole proprietorship of Omkar Kamale, India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, and your choices. Questions: support@cueapp.si.

The short version

What we collect

Account

Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name. We use them to sign you in, keep your balance and purchases on your account, and contact you about the service.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. They collect your payment details; we never see your card number. We receive the order details (plan, amount, order and subscription identifiers, and email) to add time to your account and to keep accounting records.

Usage

When sessions start and end, the minutes used, how much audio was transcribed, and for each AI request the provider, model, token counts and timing. We use this to bill your time fairly, prevent abuse and run the service.

Work Mode projects

If you use Work Mode, the projects, items, status updates and notes you save are stored on our servers so they sync between your devices and can inform status answers. You can edit or delete them in the app.

Feedback

When you rate an answer or send us a note, we keep your rating and message, the app version, and which AI model answered and the kind of question. The question and answer text are included only when you tick the box to include them. We use feedback to improve Cue, and may reply to you by email about it.

Server logs

Our servers log each request’s time, path, result and IP address to keep the service secure and fix problems. Logs don’t contain call content.

Error reports

When something breaks, the app and our servers send an error report (what failed, where, app version and your account ID). Reports are stripped of call content, documents, request bodies and credentials before they leave.

Website analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use: pages viewed, how you arrived (such as a search or a campaign link), and your approximate location, device and browser. It sets cookies to recognise repeat visits. We don’t send your name, email or account ID, and we strip sign-in tokens and other private parameters from page addresses. Advertising features are off. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are only measured after they accept; anyone can change their choice with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. The desktop app doesn’t use Google Analytics.

What happens during a call

Audio from your microphone and computer is streamed over an encrypted connection through our servers to Deepgram for transcription. We don’t write it to disk or logs. Deepgram may keep audio samples to improve its speech models under its Model Improvement Program.

Transcripts and answers. To suggest an answer, the app sends the recent transcript, your profile (summaries of your resume and the job description), relevant Work Mode notes and any screenshots you choose to attach to an AI provider. The answer streams back to the app. We record only the usage figures above, not the text.

On your computer. The app keeps your session history (transcripts and answers), profile documents and practice results in its local storage on your PC. Uninstalling the app or deleting its data removes them.

Who processes data for us

We use these providers, each only for the purpose listed:

These providers process data under their own terms and may be located outside your country, mainly in the United States. Where the law requires it (for example for the EU and UK), transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Why we’re allowed to use it

For people in the EU, UK and similar jurisdictions: we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for and paid for), to meet legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and working. Where we rely on consent (analytics cookies on this website), you can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete your account, or to object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@cueapp.si from the address on your account and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their personal information; we don’t sell or share it for advertising.

Security

Connections are encrypted. Sign-in tokens on your PC are protected by your operating system’s credential storage. Access to our databases is limited to the services that need it.

Children

Cue is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
